It is with a heavy heart that we said our goodbyes, to National Founder, Elliott Bazan. For those who knew Elliott, he was head over heels for his wife, and loved spending his time outside of work spending time with his wife and son.. I had the privilege of growing up and spending summers with Elliott's family and my parents' Texas Tech alumni friends. When I think back to the yard games and dinner table conversations, Elliott's laughter always stands out among the  voices. Always laughing, always joking, always teasing, but always concerned about the well-being of his friends. I had the unique honor of having him as a fraternity brother, an "uncle," a godfather, and a great friend. He will be greatly missed.

Thank you to the brothers that were able to join in his celebration of life in San Marcos, to those who reached out, and to those who kept his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Chairman’s Note

Brothers it has been a great start to the year and April was packed full of brotherhood events. We drove to San Antonio to Play in the 4Links Classic and returned Saturday to watch the Silver Boot Series Baseball game with the World Champs against the Astros. The tailgate and game were awesome and if you missed it be ready to get your tickets early next year. Our Membership drive officially ends in April, but brothers are encouraged to join all year round. So get signed up and join the Original Alumni Association of Omega Delta Phi. I hope you can make it to at least one event this year to rekindle that burning desire. Our Service Projects are coming in August, October, November and December so get ready.

Thank you brothers for all the support and brotherhood. Hope to see you out at an event or two.

87th Day Celebrations: KDChi and ODPhi Come Together for Happy Hour Toasts!

The 87th Day Happy Hour was a night to remember as KDChi and ODPhi members came together to celebrate in Deep Ellum. Thank you to everyone that was able to come out!

What a day it was at the 4 Links Classic – an unforgettable day of golf, sunshine, and giving back! We extend our heartfelt thanks to the San Antonio Alumni Association for inviting us out again this year. Shout out to all the amazing sponsors, participants, and volunteers who came together to make this event a resounding success. 

The DFWAA hit it out of the park with a grand slam turnout for the Rangers vs. Astros tailgate and game day! Long Le and Jose Lara led the charge in coordinating an unforgettable event filled with camaraderie, delicious food, and exciting baseball action. As the good guys clinched the win, DFWAA members cheered on their team with pride, making memories that will last a lifetime. It was a day of celebration, friendship, and the joy of victory – a true testament to the spirit of brotherhood in DFWAA.

Congratulations to the newest line at AO Chapter! 

The Alpha Omicron Chapter set the stage on fire with an electrifying probate to introduce their newest line of brothers! The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as the 2 kneos showcased their talent and introduced themselves to the rest of the greeks on campus. Shout out to Jose Lara and his efforts in supporting the chapter this year, once again demonstrating his commitment to supporting and nurturing the growth of out members.

• Scholarship Criteria: The scholarship is both need-based and merit-based.

Howdy brothers,

March is here Brothers!  We have been very busy to start the year, and it’s all for you guys. February had our first Super Bowl Party hosted by the Cantu Family and our Super Bowl squares fundraiser was a huge success. Our very own “Lonnie Tee” graced the mic in his first open mic and had the crowd going. Thanks to the brothers that came out to support him, and be on the lookout for his next open mic. March starts off with our meeting March 6th (Virtual). Our Conejo Picnic and Paintball day are coming as well. We have 53 Members signed up and are still in the midst of our Membership drive.

If you haven’t signed up, what are you waiting for, get hype brothers.

Ps there’s a new prize for chapter with largest membership. Will Delta dominate again or will it be Tau or AO? Support your brotherhood and have fun at the same time.

DFWAA Super Bowl LVII Watch Party: Texas Tech Gets another Super Bowl Ring!

The DFWAA Super Bowl Watch Party was a hit, with brothers gathered for an unforgettable game! The Chiefs clinched victory with a thrilling 25-22 win over the 49ers. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes secured the Super Bowl 2024 MVP title, marking his third career win on behalf of Texas Tech University. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Cantu family for generously hosting the event and providing a feast of game-time snacks that kept everyone fueled throughout this intense matchup.

The stage was set, the mic was live, and laughter filled the air as Lonnie Tee, aka Jason Surmiller, took center stage to host his first open mic night at Six Springs Tavern in Richardson! Brothers from near and far gathered to support Lonnie on his comedy journey, showcasing his wit and humor to the delighted crowd.
